The best camp ground! Good for large groups. Friendly staff and great prices!
We love to camp here. The family is super nice that owns the place and often times they have music or potlucks for us to attend. Many sites are on the river and with river views. The campground also does rafting drop off and rentals. I always tell friends and family to come here. It's such a great campground with many facilities, good people, and beautiful nature.
we're going back this weekend, and yes, the forecast says rain. rained like crazy the first time to. we love everything about this place and will never go anywhere else on our Bethel Woods trips. no pool, no arcade...just camp. i love this place!
What a wonderful camping trip! Hadn't been in a quite awhile and so glad we went back! We had a decent size group of adults & kids. Our sites were spacious, beautiful, clean and right on the river. The proximity of the port a potty was nice. Although got annoying at times because the door was constantly being banged. But that is not something you can control. There were no hassles, or any issues as some of the others had complained about. We had music on to a normal level, turned it down at night, etc. So no one bothered us.
I've been coming here since 2011 and this by far is one of my favorite campsites..I go atleast 3 times a year with different groups.. I try to take everyone I put on to camping to this spot.. Tara and her family are awesome.. they are very friendly and over the years I would like to say I've developed a bond with them.. camp sites are great size.. your right by the river.. I would definitely recommend the 8 mile kayak on the river.. its a peaceful & beautiful scene.. be sure to listen for the waterfall halfway and if your up for the adventure check for it.. I genuinely love this spot.. yes the shower smells like rotten eggs and you need quarters to use it.. you don't come out smelly it's only bc the water has sulfer in it.. I could care less to be honest I can take a shower in the river lol or the waterfall ( biodegradable soap) bathrooms are good so no worries there. This spot can be the breaking point from glamping to more of a rougher camping.. no water on the sites no power.. deal with it.. lol it can be done..
Was a little weary after reading the reviews, but I have to say that the staff was very kind, courteous and helpful.
NOTE: Be alert for the train that passes, it may pass in the middle of the night and startle you.
